The fire at the Evans Food Group warehouse, at 4118 S. Halsted St., began Thursday morning.
Funeral services for Andrew “Drew” Price will be held Monday, Nov. 20, in the Navy Pier Grand Ballroom.
No injuries were reported, but about 120 people reported feeling the quake, which measured at 3.6 magnitude, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. “We received voluminous amounts of 911 calls,” said a police lieutenant in Peru, Illinois. “It was literally one call after another.”
Price, 39, was taken Monday morning to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he died. ‘Loved by so many, he will be missed by all,’ said Fire Commissioner Annette Nance-Holt.
Officer Craig Lancaster was charged Thursday with aggravated battery, a felony, after the boy’s family released video of the incident.
According to U.S. Currency Auctions, an uncirculated $2 bill from 1890 could be sold for over $4,500. But Dave Coconate, of West Town Jewelry and Loan, said a bill like that is “ridiculously rare.”
“There’s no reason that they couldn’t call this bill and save additional lives in Illinois, and they simply chose not to,” said Amanda Pyron of the Network, a coalition of advocacy groups for victims of domestic violence.
The officer’s injuries Monday were apparently not life-threatening, according to the Chicago Fire Department, which said another officer was treated for injuries at the scene in the 7300 block of South Dante Avenue.
A Chicago police officer was accused of sexual assault. The top cop pushed to keep him on the force.
The Civilian Office of Police Accountability found the officer engaged in a series of nonconsensual sex acts in 2020 against the woman, who reported he attacked her when she fell asleep at her home after they attended a banquet.
